Entrants shall copy, in script or joined writing 'Isaiah Chapter 55, verses 6 - 12',from The New International Version (NIH), The Good News Bibleot The Authorised Version (AV)

ALL HOME INDUSTRY CLASSES TAKE PLACE ON SATURDAY 5TH JULY 2025

Prize money in this section:
Classes H71 - H92 & H94                   Prizes: £5, £3, £2                                       Entry Fee: £0.50
Class H94                                            Prizes: £10, £7, £5                                      Entry Fee: £0.50


A Rosette and £5 will be awarded for the Best Exhibits - Art Individual, Art Group and Stories

SAMMY ARMSTRONG SHIELD to be awarded to the Best Artistic Exhibit – Schools Section. Classes H79, H82, H56, H88 and H91.


WRIGHT SHIELD + £50 to be awarded to the School gaining the highest number of points. Open to Schools with NOT more then 100 pupils on Roll.

CARSON SHIELD for handwriting, kindly donated by Mr Victor Carson will be awarded to Class H94


ULSTER HERALD sponsorship to be awarded to Written Classes H78, H81, H84, H87, and H90.


OMAGH HIGH SCHOOL sponsorship to be awarded to Classes H974, H76, H79, H82, H85, H88, H91 and H93

All entries in this Section to be clearly marked with name, age, schedule class and school, and must be the work of the child, with minimal teacher intervention.

Entries should be submitted to the Showgrounds’ Office, 3 Gillygooley Road, Omagh, on Monday, 2 June 2025, between 3 00 pm and 5 30 pm.
Judging in this Section will take place prior to the Show and the best exhibits will be on display.

SCHOOLS ARE TO PROVIDE THE NUMBER OF ENTRIES BEING SUBMITTED

Teachers and parents should co-operate in the collection of exhibits after the Show on Saturday 5 July 2024 from 4 30 pm and will be required to sign for items collected.
Should collection on Show day not be practicable, alternative arrangements must be made with the Show Office. All exhibits not claimed by Monday 29 September 2025 will be disposed of by Tyrone Farming Society.

 

 

THE CARSON SHIELD FOR HANDWRITING 2025

RULES FOR THE COMPETITION
1. Entries shall be in ink on a single sheet of A4 paper, ruled or plain, with a margin. P5 pupils may use pencil, if desired


2. All entrants must be in the Key Stage 2 age group.


3. The Carson Shield will be awarded to the entrant with the best writing and will be held for one year.


4. The Judges will mark for good letter formation, accuracy, consistency of style, neatness and spacing.

 

5. Prizes will be awarded to the top 3 entries.

 

6. The decision of the Judges will be final

No entries permitted on day of event.
